Long-distance move from Bardstown, KY to Cape Coral, FL

Corrupt Liers

They lied about bringing an empty truck which was 3/4 full so my partial load was put is storage in two states with quoted delivery of 5 days. Delivery was actually 30 days and they extorted more than $10,000 extra from us to actually deliver our furniture. Several expensive items were destroyed and lost even though we received other peoples' furniture. We have contacted the FBI and Department of Transportation for possible criminal charges against the owners. Stay away from this company.

Long-distance move from Allen, TX to Newark, NJ

Captivating Experience

These movers started working immediately, didn't stop until the completion of work, and had excellent coordination. The relocation procedure, from packing to unloading, proceeded without a hitch. Even though we had just recently moved into our new home, everything had been well packed, the boxes had labels, and there was no confusion, which made unpacking very simple.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Absolute scam!!!

I’m not even sure how I initially got set up with this company, but never again. I thought I was calling Mayflower but somehow got routed through to this company. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant and gave me a reasonable quote, and even offered to pack my house for me. Unfortunately that is where the good ends.

Upon arriving at my house the day of my move, the moving company informed me that my move would cost an ADDITIONAL $8,000 from what I had already paid due to “the size of my move”. I was initially quoted for about 600 cubic feet, which was then more than doubled to 1400 cubic feet upon pickup. Not having any other options, I was forced to pay because they already had my items on their truck.

I found it really puzzling to believe that my move would take up that much space since the place I was moving out of was a 700 square foot condo.

I was then told that I would have 60 days of free storage, but after taking my items the company informed me that it would only be 30 days. I then called the storage company with the details of my drop off and they informed me that they had no record of me or my items which was very concerning. I then called the number on my invoice for US Interstate & Rail who also had no record of me. Finally after calling the number on the website, they were able to direct me to the storage company that had my items to arrange for delivery.

My items were then held hostage for delivery until I paid their driver an additional $1,700 for a Uhaul they had to rent because their “80 foot truck” supposedly wouldn’t fit in my 100+ foot driveway.

I was told by the moving company that along with the packing services I had paid for, it also included unpacking, as well as a $25,000.00 insurance policy per item that they packed, so it just made sense to have them do it all.

Upon delivery, my items were delivered in a small uhaul (again confirming my belief that this wasn’t the 1400 cubic foot move they tried to tell me it was) and all left in my garage for me to unload, unpack and put together. Upon unpacking I came to find out that a box of my music gear (that this company packed) was now missing. Equipment totaling over $10,000.00 now unaccounted for, as well as multiple items such as my TV, Couch, entertainment center and other music equipment all broken. Along with that, there were numerous items that did not belong to me.

Hoping that it was a mix up and that maybe I got someone else’s items and they received mine, I tried reaching out to the company numerous times for the following month with zero response.

After the 6th inquiry with no response or follow up, I proceeded to move forward with opening a claim for the missing items.

After 3 weeks, the claims company reached out to me and informed me that my move did not cover the $25,000.00 per item packed that they told me, but instead only 60 cents per pound, making my reimbursement due $91.00. Had I known that they were lying about their insurance coverages, I would have packed and done the move myself.

Not only am I out from being severely overcharged for the move, but now I am out thousands of dollars worth of musical equipment that I have acquired over the years, while this company refuses to take any accountability to try to help me recover/replace my lost and broken items.

This company claims that they aren’t brokers, but the more I have had to deal with them, the more I begin to believe they are lying about that as well. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

SCAMMERS & THIEVES

This company is beyond a scam. They scheduled a window for pickup time and with no communication at all, don’t show up until 7pm well after Our agreed upon dates for pickup. They then try to charge you thousands in extra costs. We talked to the driver and agreed on a day to meet for the drop off. AGAIN, they no show with no communication. Now we are all the way across the country with 3-4 days of clothes and a few blankets and pillows from the car ride. EVERY time I call to talk to management, they are never in the office and after having our dispute “forwarded to upper mgmt,” it’s been a week with still no communication from this joke of a company. So now we wait, sleeping on the floor, not knowing if we’ll ever see our things again.

Bait and switch

Don’t hire them. They called us and asked if they could give us on our move from Florida to Colorado. We told them that we could fit everything into a 27’ Uhaul Van. They gave us a price of $4400. We stupidly gave them a deposit. Fortunately it was on a credit card. They pressured us for a bank draft. We said no. 5 days before they were supposed to show up, they called to do a phone inventory. We told them the same thing but broken down to number of boxes etc. now they bump the price up $6600. We said no, we agreed on a 27’ uhaul van equivalent. I demanded My deposit back or for them to show up with an empty 28’ truck which the sales man said they would. They refused to honor the original price or refund our deposit of $1400. Fortunately my Visa card has an anti fraud office and they had not yet sent the money to the company.

Do not use these crooks. Bait you with a low price and then jack it up $2,000.

Don’t send cash or bank draft.

Long-distance move from Lawton, OK to Austin, TX

SCAM!!!

The price listed was the deposit I was scammed out of ($1800)--my movers told me it would be nearly 4 times that ($8000)to move a 2 bedroom apartment. I was quoted an estimate for 450 ft3, even though I told them previously I needed a 22 ft truck to move. When the actual movers arrived (1.5 days late--no updates; just me sitting, my broker Jordan D did not return my calls once), they told me my move would be nearly three times as much as I was quoted. They had other items in the truck with no partition, a mattress falling over and an open box of picture frames falling out, and did not bring any of the packing items I had requested. Absolutely terrible. I had to cancel on sight because I could not trust either the movers or the broker. The broker keeps the deposit, and probably assumed I would pay the overcharge just to get it over with.

Long-distance move from Pittsburgh, PA to New York, NY

Fraud, Overcharging

Do not believe anyone at this company. They will provide a bill of lading that looks legitimate and pretend to walk you through all the things you will get for it: packing services, furniture assembly/disassembly, wrapping of furniture, etc. Their sales people are well mannered and sound trustworthy but they conveniently disappear and stop taking your calls as soon as you put down the deposit.

A they were 12 hours late to pick up. (10 PM on a saturday), they dishonoured the original estimate, inflating it to more than 2.5x to a volume larger than my actual storage unit. The foreman literally looked me in the eye and said "You're moving to Manhattan, gotta be willing to pay."

Then they were late to deliver. When I asked for a revision of the insane charges, they held me hostage sayin they would not deliver my things if I disputed the charges.

I paid for reassembly of my furniture but they did no such thing, claiming it was not included (the delivery team didn't even bring tools).

BIGGEST red flag: The salesperson claimed that payment could be made by cheque/direct deposit and credit card. However at the time of pickup and delivery they would only accept Zelle/cashapp/cash.

Avoid like the plague.

Do not trust these liars or their promises (and read the fine print- "

Jordan was a great salesman and seemed like a genuinely nice guy; as was Mike with Quality Assurance. I only went with this company because they GUARANTEED me that pick-up would be May 17th and delivery drop-off would be May 21st. It is June 15th and I still don't have my belongings. Worst part is- they still don't know when my things will arrive and the excuse is that they cannot find a driver! I have explained that my children's beds and all of their clothes and all of our belongings are on that shipment, but it does not matter to them. I have had several ladies now tell me that the fine print reads that they have up to 30 "business days" to drop off my things. Complete BS. Do NOT go with this company. They are amazing at getting their payments on time (1st three up front, and then the remaining balance at drop off), but they are horrible at actually following through on their promises.

Do not use

DO NOT USE.

I will never use this company again. We were originally quoted $4,000 after talking with this guy on the phone with giving a rough estimate of our stuff several months prior. A week before, we added 10 boxes to our total after doing some packing and the price jumped up by $2,000. When we were finally finished packing, we called the company a few days before to tell them that we had more than the boxes we originally told them and the person on the phone could have cared less and told us just to tell the movers when they got there. After showing up three hours late (which wouldn't have been a big deal if we hadn't been trying to catch a plane) they quoted us at $9,500 and the movers were annoyed because our stuff was not going to all fit on the truck with someone else's things. Even more annoying than pay all this extra than what we intended on paying was that we had moved 80% of the stuff to the front porch besides a few pieces of furniture...all the movers had to do was put in on the truck. We should have just left everything where it was, but we really should have just done a uhaul.

While moving things out they drug a table across the hardwood floors and left a huge mark in the floor. When we called the person said just to get someone out to quote for someone to fix the floor, good thing that was on a Friday and our home closed on Monday. My husband could hear them sliding the boxes down the stairs instead of carrying. Why wouldn't the employees do things the correct way so the new owners don't have a gash in their floor that we end up paying for because they don't want the headache of dealing with someone else.

All this to say is I didn't think their customer service was greatest when talking with the people we did have conversations with and the people who actually did the heavy lifting did the least amount of lifting as possible causing us to have to pay extra because they did not do the job they were hired to do.

After waiting two weeks for stuff to arrive, the truck showed up. So sketch you have to pay thousands of dollars in cash. The guys driving the truck stated that it was 150 feet to get to the storage unit and it would be an extra $250. Luckily my husband had a measuring tape in the truck and measured it to be 85 feet…somehow the guy calculated charging us an extra $150. After speaking with someone they graciously cut it from $150 to $75 and were excited about the customer service they provided by getting the price lowered…even though it should have been the $75 the entire time (even though the contract says $75 for an extra 75 feet so wouldn’t it be $1 per foot?). After talking with management the extra money they charge goes directly to the guys moving so they can “guesstimate” however much they want and charge you if you are not careful.

Please use another company and save yourself the headache.

Long-distance move from Tucson, AZ to Grand Rapids, MI

Scammed us

This was the worst customer service experience of my life. I was yelled at by three separate associates. I was underquoted by 200 square feet, told my price would not change, and they tried to charge $2500 above what they originally quoted, which was twice the amount we were originally quoted. An iota of customer service would have made this possible but they were unwilling to work with us. We lost an $800 deposit but we felt so unsafe sending our furniture with them as this is clearly a scam operation. Please do not hire them. You will end up in tears. PS look at other sites which will also show that this is a scam company- this five star rating is clearly all due to reviews by bots. Won’t be surprised if this review is taken down immediately.
